Known for it’s rich fishing heritage, Staithes was once one of the largest fishing ports on the North East coast of England. In its heyday there were just under 300 men engaged in fishing and delivering their catch to the rest of the United Kingdom. This stunning scene is by Roger Neil Turner who is well known for his delightful harbour paintings.
