A leading expert on the paranormal has gathered together some of the scariest stories from some of the villages and towns in Cumbria. Ghosts have been encountered in many of Cumbria's famous locations, including Lake Windermere, Carlisle Cathedral and the Kirkstone Pass;there are hauntings in castles, ghosts underground, a hall where a vengeful couple haunt their killers' every move and a lunatic dressed in grey who walked through walls.
