Glasgow Queen Street: Railway Station Renaissance

Description:

Glasgow Queen Street, dating from 1842, is Scotland's third busiest rail terminus. Though its site was a bargain, disadvantages were train access by a steep tunnel and the station's limited size. By 1881 an enlargement created its famous train shed, and soon an underground line had a Low Level station.
