Irvine Then and Now

This North Ayrshire seaport was made a burgh in the 12th century, but neighbouring areas took away its trade in Victorian times. Irvine was still a bustling town with plenty of fine old buildings, when the first of the old photo;s in this book were taken in the early 1900s. This book compares photo's of long ago compared with images of how it looks today.
