‘In Production’ or ‘In Progress’ and those that became ‘silent’
after 1960. Includes eight malt whisky distilleries + 11 shortly to
come on stream.

logical boundaries to denote the various producing regions, to
accurately reflect the ‘terroir’ of whisky production in Scotland.

Survey Landranger (OS LR) map references, dates of
establishment and website and telephone details if available.
Distilleries that cater for visitors are clearly indicated and many
of these now require online booking (indicated).
