We've added a number of new maps and map ranges to our catalogue for the summer so that you can help your customers find the very best Scotland has to offer - whether they are local to your outlet and looking for something new, or they are visiting for further afield. You can find all of our maps in the section here and below are highlights of the range -
Ordnance Survey
We are an approved Ordnance Survey wholesaler and we carry the full Scottish range of Landranger and Explorer maps. We stock the new, enhanced editions of both ranges which include a mobile download that can be accessed for no extra cost. We also stock Ordnance Survey's Tour Scotland national map, can supply the weatherproofed 'Active' versions of both map ranges and maps covering the whole of the British Isles. Ordnance Survey is one of the most recognisable brand names in the business and are tried, tested and trusted products.
Harvey Maps
Harvey are an independent mapping brand and all of their maps are drawn from original air surveys by their skilled team of cartographers. All Harvey maps are waterproof for outdoor use and they come in a variety of formats: Superwalker maps are at 1:25,000 scale, detailed, particularly clear and easy to read; National Trail maps get a week's walking onto a single sheet which is easy to carry and easy to read at 1:40,000 scale; British Mountain maps are tough, waterproof sheets designed for walkers and climbers which cover an extra-large area in high detail; Summit maps are enlarged to help navigation of complex summits and ridges; and Ultramaps are new, slim, lightweight maps to fit in your pocket and are drawn to 1:40,000 scale.
Stirling Surveys Footprint Maps
Established in the late 80s and based in Stirling, Stirling Surveys specialise in producing high quality maps for a variety of users including walkers and ramblers, cyclists, backpackers and orienteerers. Their Footprint series offers a unique combination of quality, legibility, ease of use and value for money. Many of their maps are published on waterproof paper including their best-selling West Highland Way map.
Sustrans
Sustrans are one of the leading charities enabling people to travel by foot, bike or public transport. Their maps for the National Cycle Network, a 14,000 mile network of signed and promoted cycle routes across the UK, help cyclists find long distance tours, day rides and everyday journeys that can safely be made on traffic free cycle paths, shared use paths and roads. Around 2,300 miles of the National Cycle Network are in Scotland and they take in hundreds of stunning locations.
Yellow Publications
Yellow Publications create pocket-sized, water-resistant local maps and we now carry over 140 of their maps covering all corners of Scotland. Around & About maps are designed with walkers in mind - based on the OS Explorer maps, data is blown up to 1:16,000 scale to offer greater clarity and to help the user to spot interesting features in the local area. The maps also include a unique walk time scale ruler. Here & There maps are based on OS Landranger maps blown up to 1:33,333 scale. Ideally suited for cyclists, these maps include a scale ruler for distance and cycle time and a cycle route index. Both these formats can be created for your local area if not already in print - just contact your Lomond Sales Rep or our office to find out how! Yellow also produce larger Footpath maps, Atlases and their brand new North Coast 500 map.
